Gennadiy Synchuk and Kyrylo Dihtiar, youth players from “Metalist,” have been called up to the Ukraine U19 national team for the Euro 2024 tournament, which will be held from July 15 to July 28 in Northern Ireland.

Notably, Dmytro Mykhaylenko’s squad consists of players born in 2005 or later. Synchuk was born in 2006, and Dihtiar in 2007.

Gennadiy has played 3 matches and scored 1 goal for the U19 team, with his crucial goal coming in the elite round qualification match against Switzerland.

For Kyrylo Dihtiar, who is the captain of Ukraine’s U17 team, this call-up to the U19 squad marks his debut.

At the European Championship, the blue-and-yellow team will face the host nation Northern Ireland (July 15), Norway (July 18), and Italy (July 21) in the group stage.
