Chelsea lost in the English League Cup final

In the final, Chelsea lost to Liverpool 0:1 in extra time, with the only goal scored by Van Dijk in the 119th minute.

Mudrik didn’t make it into the starting lineup for the “Blues”, but he came on as a substitute in the 90th minute, replacing Nicolas Jackson. He was mainly noted for his corner kicks.

Liverpool secured this trophy with practically their second-string team. Even Salah and Nunez didn’t participate in the game.

The Merseysiders became the first team in England to win the League Cup 10 times. It took Liverpool 33 years to achieve this.
